Onboarding · For leadership

Leadership at Luna with AI alongside

Briefings, board prep, investor follow-up, and the meta-question of how leadership uses AI without setting wrong incentives.

Module 01 · Boundaries

What we're not asking you to do

You're not being asked to use AI usage as a performance signal, ask managers for adoption metrics, evaluate the team on whether they 'embraced AI,' or treat the daily fleet briefing as a substitute for talking to people. The platform is leverage for the team, not a dashboard about the team.

Your task

Mentally rule out 'is the team using it enough' as a metric. The right metric is 'is the team's work better' — those are not the same.

Module 02

Briefings before standup

The daily fleet briefing (also a podcast) tells you what the AI fleet has been working on — what shipped, what's running hot, anomalies, what's coming. A separate Personal Briefing summarizes your inbox, calendar, and pending decisions. The combination is meant to compress your first 30 minutes from triage to direction-setting.

Your task

Listen to one weekly fleet briefing on your commute. Decide whether the daily cadence is too much, just right, or not enough — and tell us.

Module 03

Board, investor, and clinical-stakeholder prep

Drafting a board update, prepping for an investor call, summarizing a regulatory milestone for a non-technical audience — all places agents save real time when scoped well. The judgment of what to include and how to land it is yours. The agent's job is to take ten threads of context and produce a structured starting point.

Your task

On your next external prep, ask Basal for a 1-page structured outline based on the source material. Use the structure; rewrite the prose.

Module 04

Setting the right incentives — out loud

How leadership talks about AI sets the tone for the company. Two things to be explicit about, often: (1) we're not measuring people on agent usage, and (2) when something goes wrong, the human's judgment carries — not 'the AI got it wrong' as cover. Both messages compound by repetition.

Your task

Find the next forum where adoption could be misread as a goal. Reframe it explicitly to outcome.

Module 05

When to step in

The platform is reversible. If a workflow is producing results that miss the spirit of the work, pause it. If an agent is being used in a way that makes someone uncomfortable — surveillance, leaderboarding, replacing a relationship — kill it. Both are AI-admin actions and both are documented on /governance.

Your task

Confirm you have the AI-admin role. Walk through one kill-switch (in staging, when it lands) so you've done it once before you need to do it for real.

Try the agent for your role, configure it the way you'd like it on My Agents, or read the governance model if you want to know exactly how this works under the hood.
